Hi All

Has the week flown for you? Cause for me it has...but it still doesn't stop me saying...Thank God It's Friday :)

I went onto PETA's new website and it's not that great i admit but the way people were ripping them off just because they didn't like the new website and these horrid people making comments...why do you feel the need to comment if you are going to be nasty? If someone has something nasty to say and comments on my blog i just wouldn't put it up...thank moses i haven't EVER received a nasty comment.

I had the most AMAZING conversation with this gentlemen...he was on his way to his brothers memorial...and it made me start thinking, who morns for all the animals lost out there, the ones who die whilst being in the circus, the ones that are finished being tested on, the ones who are in line to have there throats slit, or the ones who is about to have there skin peeled off their body...

WHO MORNS FOR THEM?

Well I've decided that everyday i will take 5min to morn the death of those with out speech and for those who suffer......I'm not going to grieve don't get me wrong...but i am going to think why i am doing what i do...just get back to ground level.

BREATH - THINK - GROW.....yup sounds like a good idea :)

Righty O!

We all get the rising part - that would be your alarm in the morning killing your club, Dreams on the corner of pillow and sheet.

But the shine is a little bit harder...today i had a shine come to me from another...like i said that alarm really wasn't my friend today, so shining was way out of the question!

PnP e-mailed me to let me know that they are going to bring in a a shampoo and conditioner called Petal Fresh....gonna try it out so that is going to be great.

Plus the PnP hamper i am getting of the green range will be great to try out too.

All that PnP needs to organise is the cheese, the bread and rolls and the other toiletries. And then Voila shopping at PnP will be great!....but don't hold your breath until that happens.

I'm a see it to believe it kinda gal.


The Campaigns are on their way they are just a little un-detailed so i don't want to post it until it's polished. So hang on there guys.

On another note -

I was asked why i didn't talk more about Lady gaga's dress as it is a hot topic.....I'm really sorry but if you are here to hear about celebs, your on the wrong blog, this blog is for anybody that is out there in the world that care and are interested in Veganism and Animal Rights and The Environment...I'm not here to promote people, I'm here to tell you the truth.

I gave one of the lady's at work 2 blocks of tofu, in here culture they don't eat tofu, in fact she told me that she climbed on the taxi and stax of people asked what it is...she said tofu and they said that they had never heard of it....i was astounded, however with all i have learnt i shouldn't have been.

That's the main reason why i started this blog,it's to create awareness and with PnP i have also found the same thing to...nobody knows what Vegans eat, use, and love...that's sad :(

Well I'm here to change that...soon the whole of PnP management is going to know exactly what Vegans morals, values, causes and dietary requirements are.

So - HELLO WORLD - THIS IS TOFU !

Good news and Bad

Heya

Well today was crazy...between work and trying to get this proposal done, which didn't get that far today unfortunately. And dealing with PnP ( which by the way they are giving me a hamper of 'The Green Range" cleaning aids to try, so I'll defiantly tell you how it is) and trying to finish off details for the campaigns I'm going to do for us and trying to organise the meeting at PnP to get more Vegan goodies in...Well it's been crazy.

And poopy...because i haven't gotten anywhere with the meeting with PnP...I've organised for The Vegan Society and Vegan SA to join the meeting with senior management and Vegan SA has reply and said yes, but i haven't been able to get of the lady for Vegan SA...her name is Lydia...so i got hold of Aargorn who works with Vegan SA to get her to contact me...hopefully that goes down quickly!

And now...yup it's home to clean and cook and then bed time...WHAT A DAY!!

People generally don't think I'm busy but i sure am, and i find time to chat with friends :)....that's what you call multi tasking ;)

What i love to do at the end of the day is ask yourself this -

WHAT GOOD HAVE I DONE TODAY?

And if i cant answer that, well then i didn't have a very good day now did i ?




Now as a quickie:

Did anyone see Lady Gaga's meat dress....now i never bothered about getting alarmed about the fact that she was wearing raw meat pieces on her body and a raw meat head piece to match....i cant say that i understand why she would...but apparently the physco has a reason that she is wearing it and that it's for a'cause'.....and also that she is trying to be the next Madonna and the list goes on...all these theorys ! Pish!

I dunno about all of this but i must say one thing - She was really selfish in her demonstration, because she didn't make it on her own, she used a living beings life to demonstrate....I'm sorry gaga but that was really cruel of you no matter what way you try and swing it.

YUK! Even Eminem refused to sit next to her !
I don't Blame him.

ARG!!!!!

So I'm hacked and let me tell you why.

I don't know if i mentioned it but i have been trying to get my stupid complex to recycle for 3 months now, yup that's right 3 months!!!

I contact them all the time and i dealt with this fake enthusiastic lady named Jessica, who was very keen to help and then faded...that's the problem with people - when they don't get things easily, they just give up.

So like i said after 3 months, and a lot of snooty e-mails, I e-mail them today and get a reply saying this:

Firstly...3 months then i CONTACT YOU, not you politely get hold of me, oh no, i get hold of you, only then do you turn around and in 1 SENTENCE say, please put together a PROPOSAL....

Come on i mean seriously this is so simple....recycling companies give you bins and fetch the goods, for FREE, now i must go and write a whole business proposal to tell some big bosses why they should recycle...seriously this is a no brainer.And could you not have told me this 3 months ago?

But hell, i have absolutely no clue on how to write a proposal, and the amount of work that I'll have to do in order to write it is going to be crazy...and I've got the campaigns that are on there way for Spread The Word and I'm getting PnP to stock Vegan goods, plus i work and have a boyfriend and friends and most importantly i have to sleep....Where am i going to find the time?

But wait see this line -

Yup that only means one thing... I will find time and i will learn to write a proposal ( when i watched Legally Blonde she had to write a Bill to stop animal testing and she had no clue on how to do it but she pulled it off....my friends have always said that I'm alot like 'a legally blonde' even before the movie came out ( maybe its because of my obsession with high heels and pink things with sparkles...ah anything sparkly :)...so if she could do it wearing hot heels and a smile, well then i can sure do it too (with the shoes and all ;) )

So as for Whitfield...they can jump in a lake...because I'm determined to get the complex to recycle...there are 400 units and there is more than 1 person per unit, i refuse to let that amount of people blindly throw away stuff with out recycling...i cant believe that people have lived there and not even cared about trying to talk to the trustee's about this?

Can you see how hard it is to do good things?

What people should learn about me is that if i ask a company to help me do something good and they ignore me....it makes me angry, because that makes me think - how many people have tried to help but got cut off here, at this point.
So that gives me passion to fight for the people who got ignored and for me as i feel everyone should be heard, it's there right.
Then they create obstacles to make things harder so that you just give up....those obstacles make me feel that they are testing as to how serious i am, and i hate being judged on my passion because why would you judge a good deed?
So i push through it...it's hard but I'm determined to help...help the earth, the animals, and people.

In other words...I try my best to fight for the good. I may not succeed every time, but i do try my utmost best.

So next to follow is information on how to write a proposal ;)

Better Late than never!

Hey all

I'm sorry about not having a post yesterday...I was preparing for a mini meeting i was having with the manager named, Kevin of the Brightwater Commons PnP. So i was a busy bee.

My meeting was ok, in fact it wasn't that great.Why? Well because he was a meat eater that thought our lifestyle was strange...people respect peoples dietary requirements when it is based around religion, however if it is based around a stance, a form of care, a form of respect and with values and morals...it is conceived as not as important!...
Why is that?

My very first comment i received was - "Well how many Vegans are there?"......why would someone ask that when it comes to buying products for a store. I mean how does that matter, i understand that we are probably a minority group and the sales of some products are not going to move as fast as lets say Kellogg's....but I'm here as a Vegan standing in front of you and I'm a customer, so shouldn't my needs be met too?Am i not valued as a customer?

After all if you are not willing to cater for me are you not showing discrimination towards our kind?
And if that is the case aren't you doing an act that is illegal? Because as far as i know Discrimination was supposed to end in 1994!

I will not be 'downed' by society because of my dietary requirements, especially because what i am doing is a GOOD THING!! Why is that if you try to do good, people in society don't help you? What does that say about society?
Now that is a topic to be discussed!

Well I'm determined...I will not be ignored...I COUNT!!!! I have sat a side fighting for the rights of animals and trying to give Vegans a place in this world when it comes to shopping, and i forgot about me...you see doing selfless acts totally makes you forget about yourself...So now after that comment from Kevin...yup I'm in second gear...now I'm fighting for MYSELF...

I want to be able to grab a take away from a local place and go to a common restaurant for a meal just like everybody else! I'd like to grab a few grocery's from my local PnP, I'd like to go to a garage and buy some chocolate!

I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE INCLUDED!!!

If i was Jewish they would stock it for me, in fact if i was any religion they would cater for me...On Jewish holidays they stock Jewish approved food, on Christmas they stock turkeys, yet they cant make sure i have bread to eat on a day to day basis.

So what i have to say is sorry Kevin but I'm going through the Head Office as i feel that with our meeting, i was not made to feel comforted in fact i felt questioned.

Pish...'How many Vegans are there?'....well JUST WAIT AND SEE!

Apparently he will get back to me in a day or two so tomorrow is the D day.
